Antisemitic German folk play edited and with a historical introduction by Karl von Amira (1863-1945), a German jurist and professor of law who was a known expert on early Germanic law. Found in the diaries of Thomas Mallinger in 1854, the following entry can be found for April 24, 1616, about a folk play that was performed in the Breisgau town of Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. More information and a scenario of the play by Heinrich Schreiber was found in the Freiburg Address Calendar for 1858. The 'comedy' was dealing with the murder of a Christian family, in 1462, and the following condemnation and banishment of the Jews. With : Beilage I: Der Juden halben; -- II.
